A mass of maroon and purple flowers on bushy plants. This variety is not a collection from the wild in Sicily, as is often thought. It was selected and introduced by Peter Grayson in 1992 from his breeding of Old Fashioned types. This strain has many of the characteristics of Father Franciscus Cupani's original introduction, but has more vigour and larger blooms. The variety, Cedric Morris, is probably the result of a collection from the wild and a better example of the species, Lathyrus odoratus. One of the most sweetly scented Sweet peas.
