Sweet Peas for Frills
Large Flowered and Frilly varieties are those derived from the original "Spencer" flower type with large frilly petals. These are of the type favoured by exhibitors, and produce stems up to 35cm long, generally 4 florets per stem, each floret around 4-5cm across.
The colour range is very wide, as is the range of petal markings. All have scent, the intensity varying with variety. To produce the largest blooms we advise cordon growing, but wonderful displays in the garden, or for cutting can be achieved with normal bush growing, and you get so many more flowers!
